Williams College
Freshman year, I wanted to live in the BBQ, but ended up in the Freshman Quad. Sophomore year I was in Perry; junior and senior years I lived in Garfield (the big Tudor one at the end of campus near CDE). I played kazoo and cymbals in the marching band under Papa Cardillo, learned the hammer in WUFO, and played Trivia just about every semester. Have only gone up once or twice since to play. You can tune in to it the last Friday night of each semester at WCFM, the college's radio station. • Favorite Williamstown-area restaurant: Hobson's Choice. There's also a Hobson's Choice Foods in Williamstown, Australia, a Hobson's Choice restaurant/bar in Hoboken, New Jersey, and a Hobson's Choice "Victorian-style pub" on Haight Street at Clayton in San Francisco.
• Very sad news: news reached me 6/01/99 that "Papa" Fran Cardillo died. Lisa (Masterman) Michaud '95 is in charge of the Cardillo memorial info and Moocow alumni page.

• Mark Sutton, trumpeter extraordinaire, was in the Marching Band with me. Another Band member, John Sullivan, nominated Mark as a bridal candidate for a friend of theirs in Minnesota. I only found this out by accident, through a Washington Post article on the guy who's getting married this way (with people nominating a bride for him). Small world... It gets stranger!!! Check out the online report - this wedding story is being turned into a MOVIE, to be directed by Dustin Hoffman!!! (here's the E!Online version of the same report) Together Mark and John started The Fusili Club while at Williams. Visit the site to join...
