8/2004: I am a SAHM (stay-at-home mom). I am planning to remain one for the foreseeable future.

I am *not* looking for a full-time job, although I might consider a short-term freelancing project (Perl/Python/HTML, for example) that could be done from my location (ie. home, via telecommuting). My strong suit is command-line-based work - ie. not mucking with anything in Windows - dealing with data manipulation. That's my background, anyway.

Since staying home, I've done a lot of Googling and am handy at finding things/collecting information that way & via other online sources. If you want some online research done, such as genealogy, I would consider this sort of work as well - a few hours a week/short project.

If you'd like some stock-type photos taken of buildings, landscapes, flora (closeups, mostly), or more unusual things (such as closeups of mulch, cracks in a curb, toy scenarios that (hopefully!) wouldn't have copyright problems), LMK. Photography has been a long-term interest and I have a nice digital camera and a nice older SLR (non-digital) or two. Yes, I've used them :-> No, I don't have every single feature figured out. Prices negotiable at this point since I'm not yet established - make me a specific offer; I'll see if it sounds reasonable! Unless you're willing to pay travel costs, the photos would have to be done in my general vicinity - I don't get OOT (out of town) much these days. Some of my work is available on merchandise at CafePress.com - I'm Stumped!.

I *do not* freelance in C/C++/Pascal/VB/Delphi, nor am I doing help desk or support work or computer training any longer, nor am I tutoring, nor do I want to do any of these types of work. Honestly, you really wouldn't want me to attempt those languages at this point. They weren't my best areas to begin with, and there have been so many Windows changes since I last used them much that I'd be lost (and so would you!)... I am also not interested in relocating from Northern Virginia. It doesn't matter how good the offer is; we've lived here most to all of our lives and like it here. Please do not contact me about any "fabulous opportunity" you may have which I could not do from right here in my home near Dulles Airport. I will not move to California, New York, Texas, or any other location.
