Spring 2002:
Friendship Star blocks for LABMED's quilt III

Spring 2002: two red and two blue Friendship Star blocks for LABMED's third quilt. Lucy had just died. I was very depressed. They had requested pairs of blocks, one with a dedication and one to be "sold" for someone else's dedication. I quoted bits of Wordsworth's "Lucy poems" on the dark blue ones, and left the happier red ones for someone else.

Here is a picture of one each of the red and blue blocks, before I wrote on them, followed by a picture of the two blue blocks after adding their inscriptions:

You can see these blocks in the final LABMED quilt III here or as #s 43 and 51 on the block overview page. I haven't found an image in which I can tell where my blocks ended up.
